This project was born from this land, which has inspired us through its many signs and teachings.<\/p>

It was a summer afternoon in 2016. My wife was preparing some delicious and healthy desserts for the whole family. That day she was feeling a bit tired and, between yawns, she said: \u201cIf there were a natural and healthy dessert that allowed me to rest a little longer during siesta time, it would be perfect.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Turning Point<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At that time, I felt disillusioned with my business. I wanted to embark on something meaningful\u2014something that would allow us to spend more time together, and that aligned with what we believe in\u2026 And that simple phrase sparked something inside me. It seemed like a great idea. How many people eat poorly because of rushing, laziness, or simply because they don\u2019t know what a truly nutritious meal should be? If we could find a way to create a dessert that covered all nutritional needs, tasted delicious, was completely natural, and respectful of the environment, then\u2014just as my wife said\u2014it would be perfect.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The mere idea of trying it excited me so much that I sold my business. And we began experimenting with ingredients. We were certain that our desserts had to be 100% natural, organic, gluten-free, and free from added sugars. We also wanted to honor our roots, closely connected to our land.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I remember eating dates for dessert in my childhood and having endless energy to play through the streets of Barinas (a village in Murcia that belongs to the municipality of Abanilla, often referred to as the \u201cSpanish Palestine\u201d). And I remember my grandmother preparing my breakfast milk from crushed almonds because I was lactose intolerant. Interestingly, these ingredients are highly nutritious. And those flavors are still present today, forming the foundation of Runakay \u2014 a legacy from times when, without even knowing it, we understood very well how to take care of ourselves. My wife, in turn, comes from a small village in the Andes where quinoa, cocoa, coffee\u2026 have been grown for centuries. Ingredients present in her traditional desserts because they provide energy and vitality for long days in the mountains. And that\u2019s how it all began!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The idea of mixture and unity is part of our essence, and it is what gives Runakay its meaning and value. Runa (human being) and Kay (universe) is a Quechua expression that reminds us that for true balance to exist, human beings must be one with nature, respecting it and giving back all the richness it offers us.
